The Festival of the Wind is the premier cultural event for the South Coast Region of WA and celebrates our unique Esperance lifestyle through live entertainment, food, music, art, sport and culture over four days from the evening of March 16 –19.
As a not-for-profit organisation incorporated in 1997, our volunteer committee strive for a variety of distinct and colourful events that portray the myriad of talents and offerings in this region. From musicians to mountains, or paddock to plate, the Festival is one of a kind and an incredible testament to community collaboration.
2017 will boast the 20th anniversary for the Festival Of The Wind. It has developed a reputation for excellence in its inclusive community program, the presentation of new works and connecting the whole region with quality cultural experiences.
Festival Of The Wind acknowledges that our events take place on the traditional lands of the Nyungar people and we wish to pay our respects to the traditional custodians of this Country.
As we celebrate the work of contemporary artists, we also acknowledge and respect the continuing culture of the Nyungar people and the contribution they make to the life of this town and this region.
