Lucky Bay Esperance Western Australia

Lucky Bay

Location: Cape Le Grand

Lucky Bay is 61km south-east of Esperance and located within the great Cape Le Grand National Park. Voted Whitest Sand in Australia, it is also famous for it’s friendly kangaroos who love to hang out on the beach.

Camping at Lucky Bay is a must-do experience. The 22 site campground features a camp kitchen with a gas barbecue and burners, hot and cold running water and a dishwashing sink. There are also hot and cold water showers. Campsite bookings cannot be made prior to trip. If your travelling in Summer, be prepared with an alternative place to stay (just in case!). Parks entry fees apply to Cape Le Grand National Park.

In the summer months you can get a coffee from the Lucky Bean Cafe, a coffee van that parks up on the east end of the beach and has one of the best views in the world! Lucky Bay in winter is still beautiful and with less crowds, if your lucky enough you may get the beach all to yourself! Driving on the beach is permitted but be careful of soft sand and the ocean tide creeping up. 4x4 cars only.
