As you drive up to Seascape Beach House the sense of anticipation builds. On the way, you’ll pass by the impossibly blue waters and crystalline white sand of West Beach, so you’ll get a taste of what is to come. Indeed, this scene is so beautiful that it is on the ‘must-do’ Great Ocean Drive circuit and Seascape’s guests get to live in this picture, not just drive past.
Stepping inside this wonderful beach house is the crescendo. Raked ceilings with portico windows capture the blue sky and windows facing the view showcase coastal greens and the bay beyond. The feeling is light and spacious in the generous open-plan lounge, dining and kitchen. A wood fire warms the room in winter and in any season the protected courtyard is an inviting sun trap for lazy breakfasts and family barbecues.
We love the design of Seascape, which places the master bedroom at one end of the house and two further bedrooms at the other, giving privacy and peace for a family or perhaps two couples sharing. Another feature is the well-appointed bathroom with a soaking tub with a picture window to the views.
West Beach is just a 300-metre stroll so you won’t need the car to get onto the beach and this house is close to town for dining, shopping and cinemas.
